Employment

In a 2007 Military.com survey, three-quarters of veterans entering the civilian workforce reported "an inability to effectively translate their military skills to civilian terms." The same survey revealed that 61% of employers believe they lack a "complete understanding of the qualifications" of former service members.

This mutual lack of understanding is compounded by the stigmas that could be associated with physical or psychological disabilities.

The Campaign has brought employers and veterans together to address these mutual misunderstandings. We're setting the best course for the way forward, and making full veteran employment a national priority.
