Resilient Families

The stress and worry of deployment is felt by troops fighting on the frontlines, and also by their families at home.

While military families may not have experienced combat first-hand, they are an integral part of successful reintegration.

The Campaign for Healthy Homecoming is working with military family organizations to emphasize the need for supportive retreat programs for spouses, caregivers, and entire families, in addition to those that exist for service members and veterans.

We recognize that families come in all shapes and sizes, but one thing’s universal: when we work to strengthen our military families, we strengthen the foundation of the homecoming process.

“Our men and women in uniform put their lives on the line to defend our freedom. And, when they are wounded in the line of duty, it is often the family that put their lives on hold to care for their injured loved one.” —Rep. Henry E. Brown, Jr.
